中共七大举行全体会议的最后一次会议，毛泽东致闭幕词。他指出：我们开了一个很好的大会，是胜利的大会，团结的大会。我们做了三件事：第一，决定了党的路线；第二，通过了新的党章；第三，选举了党的领导机关中央委员会。今后的任务就是领导全党实现党的路线。我们宣传大会的路线，就是要使全党和全国人民建立起一个信心，即革命一定要胜利。首先要使先锋队觉悟，下定决心，不怕牺牲，排除万难，去争取胜利。毛泽东以“愚公移山”的寓言，鼓励全党坚持奋斗，带领中国人民挖山不止，挖掉压在中国人民头上的帝国主义和封建主义两座大山。毛泽东的闭幕词以《愚公移山》为题，收入《毛泽东选集》第三卷。
Mao Zedong delivered the closing speech at the final session of the Plenary Meeting of the 7th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. He emphasized, "We have held a very successful conference, which is triumphant and united. We have accomplished three significant tasks. Firstly, we have determined the Party's line. Secondly, we have adopted a new Party constitution. Thirdly, we have elected the Central Committee, which is the Party's leading body. Our future mission is to guide the entire Party in implementing this line. Our goal in promoting the conference's line is to instill confidence within the Party and the entire nation, reassuring them that the revolution will ultimately prevail. Firstly, it is essential to make the vanguard aware of this and resolve to achieve victory despite all challenges. Mao Zedong inspired the entire Party with the fable of 'How Yu Gong Moved the Mountains,' urging them to persist in leading the Chinese people to overcome the two mountainous obstacles of imperialism and feudalism. Mao's closing speech, titled 'How Yu Gong Moved the Mountains,' was subsequently included in 'The Selected Works of Mao Zedong (Volume III).'"
